What with COP26 starting now, ’net zero has become a buzzword - Outrage & Optimism explains what it actually means.
The Climate Crisis Film Festival starts tomorrow, 1 Nov, and runs basically parallel to COP26 in Glasgow. Registration for online watching is free, so what’re you waiting for!
This is pretty grim but essential reading by George Monbiot in the Guardian how humanity seems pretty much bent on going extinct.
To offset that, watch this raptor give good advice to the UN.

Women In Film and Television International ’Sustainability Conversation’ next Tues 26 Oct (free registration). I signed up, will report.
'Brandalism'. This throws up an interesting question: how far can you / would you / are you allowed to go? In your story, would your Green Hero (if necessary) kill the Eco Villain, or is that the wrong message? Obvs, ‘brandalism’ is comparatively harmless, but still a good point to discuss.
And finally… I discovered this eco comic: ’The Renegades’. Right up my new alley, as I dive into my first graphic novel together with fellow Ecotopian Mathias Kunzler.

Haven’t had time yet to check this out properly but it looks… erm… like the BBC is doing what I’m trying to do here! ;)
This throws up a really tricky question. A different angle on ‘let’s save the planet - but who pays the price?’
